About the Canadian E-Tourism Awards
Message from the Founder
WELCOME TO THE SECOND CANADIAN E-TOURISM AWARDS
Dear friends & industry colleagues,
THE ONLY WAY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE IS TO INVENT IT…
We’re very excited to continue the only Canadian e-Tourism Awards. The Canadian e-Tourism Awards presents awards for traveller- and for tourism industry categories. In addition to having six main subject categories open to the travel and tourism industry’s three sectors (Destination Marketing Organizations, Large Enterprises, and Small-Medium Enterprises), we will also recognize the same main categories for websites submitted by travellers having experienced Canada. These awards were created in recognition of the growth and marketing power of Social Media and Web 2.0, adding a unique spin to the Awards competition as a whole. Entries are eligible from all over the world, but what makes the awards competition unique is that every entry has to market, sell, or portray Canadian destinations, products, attractions, or experiences.
The only question left to ask is, can you really afford to miss this opportunity? Enter your nominations by June 30, 2009, or get your friends or readers to nominate you.
Cheers,
Jens Thraenhart

Chair’s Message
WELCOME TO THE SECOND CANADIAN E-TOURISM AWARDS
Dear friends & industry colleagues,
I am very happy to have been appointed as chair for the second Canadian e-Tourism Awards.
The Canadian e-Tourism Awards recognize individual travellers who create engaging online Canadian travel stories and businesses that prove innovation, creativity, and results in marketing Canadian travel experiences.
Entries are eligible from all over the world and every entry must market, sell, or portrait Canadian destinations, products, attractions, or experiences.
The judging will be done by the online communities, and the top five nominations from each category will be judged by the Canadian e-Tourism Council. Unique to these awards, the individual who nominates the “Best in Show” winner will receive special recognition.
The only question left to ask is, can you really afford to miss this opportunity? Enter your nominations by June 30, 2009, and join us in recognizing the “Best of the Best.”
On behalf of the Canadian e-Tourism Council, we are looking forward to another very successful awards program.
Sincerely,
Carol Alderdice
